  • The £30-a-month OLBG Racing Club unlocks more ownership experiences, more horses to follow and a closer connection to the team

What is different about a share with OLBG?

Some micro-share syndicates offer as many as 3,500–4,000 shares in a single horse.

With limited places available at stable visits, not every owner even gets to meet their horse.

OLBG is creating a more generous ownership experience while keeping the cost affordable:

  • Exclusive access to Harry Derham Racing - the only micro-share opportunity available
  • Just 1,200 shares planned - fewer than other micro-share syndicates
  • A guaranteed stable-visit invitation - purchase your share by 31 August 2026 and we will reserve a place for you on an organised visit to meet your horse.

Own A Share in A Horse With Harry Derham

Harry Derham has improved his results season after season, making rapid progress through the ranks of Britain’s National Hunt trainers.

Now OLBG, the yard’s sponsor, has secured an exciting horse for a new micro-share syndicate - the type of horse Harry has earned an excellent reputation for developing.

The horse has a similar profile to One Horse Town, who won four hurdle races for Harry during the 2025/26 season, including a Grade 2 at Cheltenham. He went on to compete at both the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals.

This is your opportunity to begin a racehorse ownership journey with Harry Derham Racing

  • Limited to just 1,200 shares - with significantly fewer shares than many micro-share syndicates, demand could be high

  • Just £95 per share - a single, fixed price for the first syndicate period, offering excellent value

  • A guaranteed invitation to visit your horse - if you purchase before the end of August - you won’t have to rely on being selected through a ballot

Meet Pass The Buck

Pass The Buck is a three-year-old gelding bought privately for us out of Joseph O'Brien's yard in Ireland.

He comes strongly recommended by Joseph O'Brien and by respected bloodstock analyst Kevin Blake, whose last recommendation to Harry, One Horse Town, won more than £100,000 in prize money in his first season over hurdles.

Pass The Buck is by Australia, a World Champion 3yo by Galileo out of Seven time group 1 winner Ouija Board. Winner of The Epsom Derby & Irish Derby in 2014, Australia sired Lambourn who completed that same Epsom-Irish Derby double in 2025.

His dam, Zofar Zogood, is a half sister to a black type horse, Horoscope, who reached the lofty flat rating of 110.

The word on Pass The Buck is that he is a horse with a lot of ability - his work at home has always been very good. He won over 1m2f at Fairyhouse by six lengths last time out giving him an official rating of 74 (a similar flat rating to the one held by One Horse Town this time last year)

This is what his new trainer Harry Derham told us..

"This horse came recommended to me to go juvenile hurdling. He had already done a bit of schooling and he just looked a ready made juvenile. He won nicely last time out at Fairyhouse, galloped all the way to the line strongly that day up a stiff finish.

I think he can be a really nice juvenile hurdler this season. He is built for it, he is a nice size (probably 16'1 and a little bit) has a nice profile for it and he is one to really look forward to. "

Pass The Buck has settled in well at the yard. He is very relaxed, a true gentleman and the team are really enjoying having him around.

What does my payment include?

Your single, one-off payment covers your share of the horse’s purchase price and all anticipated costs for the first syndicate term, including:

  • The horse’s purchase price and associated acquisition costs
  • Training, veterinary care and day-to-day keep
  • Race entry and declaration fees
  • Transport and applicable staff and jockey costs
  • Syndicate administration and management fees

There are no monthly fees and you will not be asked to pay anything further during the first syndicate term. If the costs exceed the amount collected, OLBG will cover the difference - not you.

What Happens at the End of the Term?

The syndicate will run for a defined period. Before the term ends the syndicate manager will consult with the trainer and decide whether the horse should remain in training for a further syndicate term.

If the syndicate continues, you will be invited to renew your share. The renewal price will be lower than the original purchase price because you already own your share of the horse. The exact amount will depend on the anticipated costs and length of the new term, but we currently expect it to be approximately £50–£60 per share.

There is no obligation to renew. If you choose not to continue, your commitment to future training and syndicate costs will end when the first term expires. Nothing more to pay and you may request that we sell your share. Full details about this process will be included in the syndicate terms.

Is This The Right Ownership Opportunity For You?

OLBG Racing Micro-Share Syndicates sit between the free Harry Derham Racing Newsletter and the premium OLBG Racing Club. They offer an affordable way to own a small share in a racehorse and follow its journey.

This could be right for you if:

  • You would love to follow the journey of your own racehorse.
  • You want to learn more about how racehorses are trained and their campaigns planned.
  • You want to own a share in a horse trained by Harry Derham.
  • You want an affordable introduction to racehorse ownership with no monthly fees.

This may not be right for you if:

  • Owners’ badges are particularly important to you. Racecourses provide only a limited number of badges when a horse runs. With 1,200 shares, the likelihood of receiving one through a ballot will be relatively low - although the odds should be better than in syndicates with considerably more shares.

  • You want a wider variety of ownership experiences. These might include visits to bloodstock farms and sales, several stable visits each season, owner gatherings and a year-round programme of exclusive events.

  • You want to become part of a close community. If regularly meeting and recognising fellow owners at events is important to you, a smaller ownership club may be a better fit.

Looking for a Deeper Ownership Experience?

Consider joining the OLBG Racing Club.

The Racing Club offers a higher level of involvement, including several horses to follow, multiple stable-visit opportunities each season, a much better chance of receiving racecourse owners’ badges, a welcoming community supporting Harry Derham Racing and an exclusive calendar of events throughout the year.
